How we research. What we evaluate.
Chart Scalping researches brokers and proprietary trading firms to help traders understand their services, trading conditions, restrictions and potential risks before making a decision.
Our aim is to make comparisons more useful, transparent and practical—not to promise safety, profitability or successful payouts.
Six principles behind our research
We aim to evaluate the information that matters to traders, explain important limitations and encourage independent verification.
01. Collect
Gather relevant information from official websites, programme documentation, terms and conditions, pricing disclosures and other identifiable sources.
02. Cross-check
Where practical, compare important claims with additional sources. Distinguish official rules from user feedback, third-party reports and our own assessments.
03. Evaluate
Examine trading conditions, financial and operational risks, restrictions and practical suitability for different trading approaches.
04. Compare
Present relevant differences between providers and programmes so readers can compare conditions rather than rely on headline claims alone.
05. Review
Information may be revisited when we identify material changes or receive credible corrections. A displayed verification date should be checked before relying on any detail.
06. Disclose
Explain relevant commercial relationships, research limitations and the need to confirm current conditions directly with the provider.
How we evaluate prop firms
Prop firm programmes can differ significantly in their evaluation objectives, drawdown calculations, payout eligibility and restrictions. We consider the specific programme and account type wherever the available information allows.
Trust & company information
Company identity, operating history, available business information and relevant reputation indicators. Public information does not guarantee future conduct or financial stability.
Payout conditions
Profit split, payout eligibility, waiting periods, payout frequency, minimum requirements and conditions that may delay or prevent a withdrawal.
Rules & transparency
Evaluation targets, daily and overall drawdown, consistency requirements, prohibited strategies and differences between programme stages.
Trading risk & restrictions
News trading, weekend holding, scalping, EA usage, copy trading, leverage and other restrictions relevant to the selected account model.
Platform & instruments
Available trading platforms, supported markets, Gold (XAUUSD) availability and compatibility with different trading approaches.
Trader compatibility
Whether the published conditions appear suitable for different trading styles, timeframes and risk-management approaches. Suitability is individual and cannot be guaranteed.
How we evaluate brokers
Broker research focuses on trading costs, account conditions, platform access, regulatory information and practical considerations that may affect a trader's experience.
Regulation & entity
Available information about the legal entity, regulatory status and jurisdiction. Regulatory claims should be checked with the relevant regulator.
Trading costs
Spreads, commissions, swaps or other applicable charges, noting that costs may differ by account, instrument and market conditions.
Execution & platforms
Available platforms, order execution information, account types and other practical trading conditions where information is available.
Deposits & withdrawals
Published funding methods, withdrawal procedures, relevant fees and disclosed processing conditions.
Account restrictions
Leverage, margin requirements, instrument availability and other conditions relevant to the account being considered.
Availability & support
Country eligibility, account-opening requirements and available support information, where these details can be established.
Understanding our research scores
Some prop firm profiles include a Chart Scalping score and individual assessment categories. These scores represent our research-based judgement using the information available for the profile.
Trust
Our assessment of available company information, operating history and relevant reputation evidence.
Payout
Our assessment of payout terms, eligibility requirements, clarity and practical conditions.
Rules
Our assessment of rule clarity, restrictions and the complexity of meeting programme conditions.
Risk
A qualitative assessment of relevant risks and restrictions. A risk label is not a statistical prediction of losses or payout failure.
Trader fit
Our assessment of compatibility with particular trading approaches, instruments and risk preferences.
What a score means
A score is an opinion based on available information, not a guarantee, certification, probability of success or assurance of payment.
Important scoring limitations
Scores may involve qualitative judgement and may change as information or programme conditions change. Unless a profile explicitly publishes a defined weighting and calculation method, readers should not assume that the categories use fixed mathematical weights or independently audited measurements.
A higher score does not necessarily mean a provider is suitable for every trader. Always examine the individual rules, risks and conditions behind an assessment.
Information quality and verification
Preferred information sources
Official programme pages, terms and conditions, fee schedules, regulatory registers and other relevant primary documents are preferred for provider-specific rules.
Third-party reviews, public user feedback and other external sources may provide additional context, but they are not automatically treated as proof of a claim.
Verification dates
Where a profile displays a last-verified date, it indicates when the profile was last marked as checked. It does not mean every detail is continuously monitored or independently audited.
Always revisit the provider's current terms before paying fees, opening an account or making a trading decision.
Changes & corrections
If you identify an outdated rule, inaccurate detail or a material change, please contact Chart Scalping with the relevant page, claim and supporting source.
We may review credible submissions and update content when appropriate. A correction request does not guarantee a particular change.
Research limitations
We may not have access to a provider's internal records, private payout decisions or complete customer data. Public information can be incomplete, disputed or outdated.
Our research should be treated as a decision-making aid, not as a substitute for reviewing official documentation.
Affiliate relationships & independence
Chart Scalping may have commercial relationships with certain brokers or other service providers, including introducing broker (IB), referral, affiliate or rebate arrangements.
When you use an eligible referral link, we may receive compensation or commission. Where a rebate programme applies, eligible users may also receive a share of the relevant commission under that programme's terms.
A commercial relationship is relevant context when evaluating our research. Readers should consider disclosed relationships alongside the research, compare alternatives and independently verify material claims.
We do not promise that every provider or link is commission-free. Any specific commercial relationship should be disclosed where applicable.
Research is not a guarantee
Chart Scalping provides educational material, comparative research and general information. Our content is not a guarantee of profitability, account approval, successful payouts or future provider conduct.
Forex and CFD trading involve substantial risk. Prop firm evaluation fees may be lost, and programme rules may change. A broker's regulatory status does not eliminate trading or counterparty risk. Historical information and user reviews do not guarantee future outcomes.
You are responsible for checking the current official terms, assessing your financial situation and deciding whether a product or service is appropriate for you.
