What do you want to find?Ratio ladder
Where your take-profit would sit at common ratios, and the win rate each one needs to break even.
What the numbers mean
Reward : risk
The distance from entry to target divided by the distance from entry to stop-loss. A ratio of 2 means you stand to make twice what you risk.
Break-even win rate
The share of trades you need to win to come out even. At 1 : 1 it is 50%. At 1 : 2 it is about 33%.
Expectancy
The average result per trade given your win rate and ratio. Positive means the numbers favour you over many trades.
Keep in mind: a high ratio does not make a trade good. Targets that are rarely reached lower your real win rate. Results ignore spread, commission and slippage, so check them against your own trade history, for example in the Trading Journal.
