Flexible Prop Firm with Strong Trading Conditions but Significant Payout and Rule-Enforcement Risk
IC Funded is a simulated prop-trading evaluation provider offering 2-Step Professional, 1-Step Accelerated and Instant Funded programmes. Its current 2-Step Professional programme uses a 10% Phase 1 target and 5% Phase 2 target, with 4% and 5% daily drawdown respectively and 8%/10% maximum drawdown. The funded stage has a 5% daily and 10% maximum drawdown. The 1-Step programme uses a 10% target with 3% daily and 6% maximum drawdown. Standard funded profit sharing is 80%, with up to 90% available through selected add-ons. The company permits news trading on the 1-Step and 2-Step programmes, while Instant Funded has a ±3-minute news restriction. Weekend holding is not permitted. XAUUSD and metals are available with up to 1:20 leverage. MT5 and cTrader are supported, and the company states that all trading takes place in a simulated environment. IC Funded currently allows up to $500K total allocation per trader. The major concern is reputation: Trustpilot currently shows a 3.5 TrustScore with 167 reviews, but 38% are 1-star and only 46% are 5-star. Recent complaints include payout rejection, account termination and maximum-margin/risk-rule disputes. Reddit contains at least some positive payout reports, including a user reporting a first IC Funded payout after about one week, but independent Reddit evidence is limited. The current terms also give IC Funded broad discretion over prohibited strategies, including HFT/tick scalping, grid/martingale, excessive concentration, inconsistent trading behaviour and other activity the company considers non-replicable or abusive. Therefore, IC Funded has a relatively strong rules score but should be treated as a high-risk prop-firm option from a payout/reputation perspective.
