Established Low-Cost Prop Firm with Strong Platform Choice but Elevated Execution and Rule Risk
Maven Trading is a simulated trading and educational platform established in 2022, offering Standard 1-Step, 2-Step and 3-Step challenges alongside Instant, Mini, Buy Now Pay Later and OMO 2-Step programmes. Current standard accounts offer up to 80% profit split, with most standard payouts processed every 10 business days. Maven supports MT5 and MatchTrader and offers access to FX, metals, indices, commodities, crypto and other simulated instruments. The OMO 2-Step programme is particularly attractive for gold traders, with an 8% static maximum drawdown, 4% daily drawdown, 100:1 gold leverage, weekend flexibility and no extra news restrictions during evaluation. However, Maven has a relatively complex collection of programme-specific rules, including minimum holding times, consistency requirements on some models and risk restrictions. Trustpilot currently has no public rating because of a guideline breach and states that fake reviews were removed. Recent reviews also contain complaints concerning slippage, execution, drawdown calculations, news-event losses and payout/KYC issues. These are user allegations rather than independently established findings, but they justify a higher hidden-risk rating.
